Black TAP Logo Hat
Black TAP Logo Hat
Black, velcro back, cotton/polyester blend baseball cap with white embroidery.
Black goes with everything, right? Keep the sun out of your eyes in style. Not a fan of hats? Maybe some hat facts can change your mind.
The first reference to a hat appeared in a cave painting at Lussac-les-Chateaux in France. It was dated to around 15,000 BC
"Mad as a hatter" was a phrase which was used in reference to hatters using Mercury to finish their products, which is toxic, can cause nerve damage, and lead to madness with prolonged contact. (A process we're glad isn't used today)
Another first for the French, the first person to pull a rabbit out of a Top Hat was a French man called Louis Compe in 1814
We're glad you cared to read to the bottom of our product description of a hat. Further details of the hat include: It's comfy. Not a life-saving device. Gluten-free and Non-GMO. Instant +1 to Axe Throwing skill tree. There's a rumor its modeled after a hat that burned in the fires of the Library of Alexandria, but we can neither confirm or deny. It's designed with care for sure though.

How to throw an axe
Axe throwing is simple! Consistency, spacing, and aim are the most important factors. For these shorter axes, we recommend spacing your front foot about 5 paces from your target. Using the opposite foot from your throwing hand as your front foot can help square your shoulders and increase consistency in throwing. Keep your elbow in, this isn't a baseball - swinging your elbow wide can lead to your axe being thrown at an odd angle. Bring your arm straight back, and straight forward. You don't need to flick your wrist or try to "help it along", nor do you need to power-slam it forward. It should be a comfy motion. You've thrown things before, you'll feel when you need to release it.
If it hits handle-first, step back from where you were for your next throw. If it hits upside-down, step forward and give it less time to rotate. You can also hold it with your index finger down the spine while throwing to slow the rotation if you want to stand further back or need to for regulation in a competition. Videos of this are demonstrated on our TikTok @ThrowingAxePro.
As long as you consistently throw the axe the same way, all you will have to adjust is your spacing and release timing in order to hit the bulls-eye every time.
Last notes: Live trees don't like axes, please use a target of some variety. Never throw an axe if someone is downrange from you. This is a sport that's easier to learn sober despite what your buddy keeps telling you. At the heart of it all, have fun!
